Exemptions and dispensations for Sephardic people seeking Spanish citizenship

According to a Resolution issued by the Director General for Registries and Notarial Affairs on 22 May 2017, Sephardic peoples over the age of 70 seeking Spanish citizenship are dispensed from obtaining the DELE diploma and CCSE (Spanish initials for Conocimientos Constitucionales y Socioculturales de España) citizenship exam requirements, in light of inherent age-related learning difficulties. The aforementioned resolution applies exclusively to candidates of Sephardic origin.
